After his West Virginia education, and practicing law in Milton, West Virginia the first five years of his professional life, Attorney William E. Ford III honed his analytical and litigation skills by working as an enforcement trial attorney with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in its Fort Worth, Texas and Miami, Florida offices. In 1992, Mr. Ford was offered a position as an in-house general counsel attorney by State Farm Insurance, assisting State Farm's management in operating a major metropolitan auto and homeowners claims operation, just in time for Hurricane Andrew. Later, Mr. Ford returned to litigation and trial practice representing insurers and their insureds in Florida and the eastern panhandle of West Virginia.

Ford Law Office was opened in 2002, after Mr. Ford and his wife, Lisa, relocated to Clarksburg, Lisa having been raised in nearby Bridgeport.

Lisa Ford Lisa Furbee Ford is from Bridgeport, West Virginia and a 1981 graduate of the West Virginia University College of Law with the Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree.

She is a past member of the Texas Bar and an active member of the West Virginia Bar Association. She is a member of the Harrison County (West Virginia) Bar Association, is admitted to practice in the Northern and Southern Federal District Courts in West Virginia and is a member of the West Virginia Trial Lawyer's Association. Lisa practices law in Clarksburg, primarily in the field of Oil and Gas.

Lisa began her legal career in Charleston, WV and Fort Worth, Texas with a specialty in Oil and Gas law, representing Texas, Oklahoma, and West Virginia drilling companies.

She practiced law as an attorney with The Department of Justice (INS) and The Department of Homeland Security (ICE) from 1988 until 2010. She is recognized in the WVU College of Law Review as a West Virginia Pioneer Woman of the Law.

She continues in the practice of law as a partner in Ford Law Office representing West Virginia plaintiffs in oil and gas matters and general civil litigation.
