After his West Virginia education, and practicing law in Milton, West Virginia the first five years of his professional life, Attorney William E. Lisa Furbee Ford is from Bridgeport, West Virginia and a 1981 graduate of the West Virginia University College of Law with the Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree.
She is a past member of the Texas Bar and an active member of the West Virginia Bar Association. She is a member of the Harrison County (West Virginia) Bar Association, is admitted to practice in the Northern and Southern Federal District Courts in West Virginia and is a member of the West Virginia Trial LawyerÃ¢ÂÂs Association. Lisa practices law in Clarksburg, primarily in the field of Oil & Gas.
Lisa began her legal career in Charleston, WV and Fort Worth, Texas with a specialty in Oil and Gas law, representing Texas, Oklahoma, and West Virginia drilling companies.
She practiced law as an attorney with The Department of Justice (INS) and The Department of Homeland Security (ICE) from 1988 until 2010. She is recognized in the WVU College of Law Review as a West Virginia Pioneer Woman of the Law.
